| General Rules
The Inshore /Offshore Grand Slam Challenge will run from May 1 st to December 15 th 2008. All weigh in slips must be dated between these dates. Weigh in slips must be received by a committee member no more than 10 days after weigh in.
Only official FTC weigh slips will be accepted.(All updated FTC angling rules are in effect, and minimum weights apply)
Awards will be based on a point system. The ten heaviest fish in each category will be awarded points, ranging from 10 points for 1 st place to 1 point for lOth place.
Points will be cumulative and members can accumulate points in each category for their overall total.
There will be three overall places based on the cumulative point total.
In the event of a tie the earliest dated weight slip will be used.
Members must sail out of and return through any of the following (within 24 hours Inshore & 48 hours Offshore of departure):
Debs Inlet
Jones Inlet
Fire Island Inlet
All entry fees must be paid prior to entering any fish. Entry fees are not refundable.
All NYSDEC and Federal Regulations apply in regard to size, bag limits, and opening and closing dates
Weigh slips can be given to any committee chairmen listed below
All committee decisions are final
Inshore Rules
The entry fee is $50.00 and each participant must be a FTC member in good standing
Four species of fish will qualify: Blue fish, Striped Bass, Sea Bass, and Fluke
Offshore Rules
The entry fee is $75.00 and each participant must be a FTC member in good standing.
Three species of fish will qualify: Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Shark (Mako and Thrasher only)
PRIZES
First Place : Grand Slam Challenge Trophy and a $75.00( Offshore ), $50.00 ( Inshore ) gift certificate
Second Place : Rod and reel, insulated cooler with assorted fishing tackle, and boating supplies
Third Place : Insulated cooler with assorted fishing tackle, and boating supplies.
