The FTC, and Members Support the NY Sportfishing

Federation Forum and Auction Feb 17, 18 and 19.

 

 

Accomplished members of the Freeport Tuna Club will

Speak, and Host the Gigantic Auction at the NY Sportfishing Federation’s 24th Annual Forum and Auction.

The Show will be held Feb 17, 18, & 19 of February at the

Freeport Recreation Center, Fri 2-6pm; Sat 8am-6pm;Sun

9am-3pm. Appreciated donation admissions is $8 adults,

$5 (kids 12-16) and Free to kids under 12.

 

On Saturday afternoon, Capt Larry Festa will speak on Shark Fishing Do’s and Don’ts at 1:45 in Room 101. Capt Mike Zullo will speak on Spring Wreck Fishing at 4:15 Room 104. On Sunday, FTC Conservation Chairman, Dennis Cataldo, will host the Live Auction featuring

180 great items from supporters, exhibitors and sponsors beginning at 3:35pm Sunday. Bid on trips, fishing charters, custom rods, tackle, charts and much more.

The FTC will have a booth promoting the benefits and rewards of being part of the FTC organization.

 

FTC MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the Freeport Tuna Club is to interest and encourage its members in all kinds of sport fishing, to use all legitimate methods to protect the interests of rod and reel fisherman, to support  movements and legislation intended to assist in the propagation of salt water fish, to support  legislation intended to protect the interests of rod and reel fishermen and particularly to stimulate an interest in sport fishing and to protect the interests of those engaged in sport fishing.  Once a month the FTC holds a General Membership meeting that includes a buffet dinner, raffles and guest speakers. Check the club calendar for exact dates. From April to October we have weekly outdoor meetings including a barbecue, where members get a chance to crew up with each other for fishing adventures. We also participate in many inter-club and intra-club events.  This year’s calendar has 117 annual awards and fishing derby (contest) prizes being awarded to the clubs 200+ members.
